Power restored in Suffolk after outage

Outage last less than 30 minutes

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A large scale power outage affected residences, businesses and schools along the Rt. 58, Rt. 10 and Rt. 460 corridors in Suffolk Friday, according to Public Information Officer Debbie George.

Dominion Virginia Power spokesperson Chuck Penn said there was a fault on the transmission line. Penn said the power outage affected 11,000, but only lasted 27 minutes.

The Kings Fork, Windsor, Oak Ridge and Kilby Shores areas were affected.
