VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The Health Department closed three rooms at a Virginia Beach motel on Monday due to reports of bed bugs.
Rooms at the Travelodge on Shore Drive were closed after people stayed who in them on August 4 and August 5 filed reports.
The motel visitors reported the bugs to the Health Department on September 15.
A pest control operator will check out the rooms, and if bed bugs are there, the rooms will be treated.
Once the Health Department determines they are gone, Travelodge can re-rent those rooms.
