PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Two people were shot at a house party in Portsmouth early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m. after there was a physical altercation between some of the party goers.
Two of the people involved in the altercation were removed from the party but later returned and fired shots into the home, according to Det. Chris Durham with the Portsmouth Police Department.
Two males who were in the home were struck by the bullets. Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, where one victim was treated and released.
The second victim remains at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Police are not releasing any descriptions of the suspects or whether the two victims were juveniles or adults.
