PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man wanted for a Dec. 2 homicide in Portsmouth has surrendered.

According to C.T. Durham with the Portsmouth Police Department, Calvin Alexander-Lamon Kitt was charged in connection with the death of 23-year-old Marquise Terry.

According to police, two men attending a party in a private home were found suffering from gunshot wounds at around 1 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue.  The investigation revealed the two victims had gotten into an altercation with two other men at the party. Those men were told to leave, but later returned and fired several shots into the home.

One victim was treated and released while the other was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Terry died the next day.

The shooting was the city's 11th homicide this year.
