Homicide victim ID'd in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth Police responded to a shooting on High Street Wednesday night that they are investigating as a homicide.
The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of High Street at the London Oaks Apartment Complex around 6:20 p.m., police said.
Police found a man shot dead lying on a sidewalk between two apartment buildings.
The man was identified as 39-year-old Emmett Davis, Jr., with a last known address in the 2000 block of Camden Avenue in Portsmouth.
There is no suspect information at this time.
