PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Police in Portsmouth are looking for two men they say stole beer from a convenience store on Dec. 26.
The suspects entered the 7-Eleven on the corner of High Street and Elm Avenue at 10:45 p.m. Police spokeswoman Jan Westerbeck said the men walked around the store, as if they were looking for an item.
The two eventually left the store with two 12-packs and one 18-pack of Heineken beer without paying.
Westerbeck said the stolen items value is less than $100. Police believe the suspects may be involved in similar incidents in the city.
It is believed the suspects in these grab and gos pick businesses that have several customers, so employees are distracted.
