PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A driver has sustained life-threatening injuries following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 264 Wednesday evening.
According to Michelle Anaya with Virginia State Police, the accident was reported shortly before 8 p.m. at the Interstate 264 and 664 split at Bowers Hill.
The driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette struck a tree when they lost control and ran off the road through the median. Anaya says the driver was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
