Former Portsmouth mayor hospitalized

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Former Portsmouth Mayor Dr. James Holley has been hospitalized following a possible stroke.

City Sheriff Bill Watson told WAVY.com Holley is being treated at a Norfolk hospital for experiencing a medical emergency during a breakfast event Saturday morning.

Holly has served as Portsmouth's mayor twice. He has also served as a council member and vice mayor.
