PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - The Coast Guard has suspending its search along the coast of the Eastern Shore for two missing boaters who did not arrive in Chincoteague as expected Saturday evening.
"The decision to suspend a search is very difficult, but after an exhaustive search by air and surface crews over the last several days, the Coast Guard suspended our search for the missing boaters," Capt. John Little said. "I cannot imagine the sadness felt by the family of these men, and my deepest sympathy goes out to them."
Since watchstanders received the call, the search was on for Mike Bramlett, 51, and his brother, Donald Bramlett, 54. The pair left Ocean City, Md. Saturday morning.
Anyone with information regarding the overdue boaters is still asked to call the Coast Guard command center at 757-483-8567.
