VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The body of a 26-year-old Virginia Beach man was found in the back parking lot of an Oceanfront business early Saturday morning.

Virginia Beach Police spokesman Sgt. Brian Ricardo said a resident found the body about 2:40 a.m. in the 200 block of 23rd Street. Police and rescue workers arrived a short time later, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Ricardo said investigators could not determine a possible cause of death because his body showed no signs of violence or trauma. The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office in Norfolk to determine his cause of death.

Investigators have asked for the public's help with their investigation. They have no witnesses other than the person who found the man in the parking lot, Ricardo said.

Anyone with information should call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
