PARKSLEY, Va. (WAVY) - A brush fire on Dennis Drive in the town of Parksley in Accomack County in the early hours of Saturday morning appears to be arson, according to a Virginia State Police Spokeswoman.

Around 12:42 a.m. firefighters and Virginia State police agents responded to the intersection of Dennis Drive and County Road after a brush fire was reported in the area.

State Police are investigating the blaze and say the fire appears to have been intentionally set.

No injuries were reported.

State Police investigators are urging the public to come forward with information that may assist in the capture of the person or people responsible for setting almost 70 fires since mid-November. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
