NORFOLK, Va. - That November Nor'easter left its calling card across the area particularly in Norfolk's Ocean View area. The aftermath of last week's storm caused an estimated $10 million in damage. Friday morning city leaders toured the east end of Ocean View and will conclude their tour at Willoughby Spit.
Norfolk Councilmen Randy Wright and Don Williams got up-close
views of the shoreline and the damage left behind from the recent
nor'easter. They're on a riding tour of the beaches and vow to try
to get local, state and federal money to repair the damage.
The city expects to get engineers out and is encouraged that
state and federal officials have already surveyed the area to
assess the damage and the need for financial assistance.
