NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A woman in a wheelchair was hit by a car in Norfolk Thursday afternoon.
According to police spokesman Chris Amos, the accident happened at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Mission Street.
Officers on scene are still investigating what happened.
The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for examination. Amos said her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. She was alert and talking at the scene.
