NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A water main break in Norfolk is causing some minor traffic issues Wednesday morning.
The break occurred near the intersection of Tidewater Drive at St. Denis Avenue. While crews have not confirmed the 6" break occurred because of the cold weather, Harry Kenyon with Public Utilities told WAVY.com an increase in water main breaks occurs when there are cold snaps.
It is not uncommon to see a break with variations in temperatures, Kenyon added.
Traffic is flowing down Tidewater Drive, however, motorists will want to use caution in the area and move slowly.
