NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Fire crews have cleared a suspicious package at Norfolk Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.
Battalion Chief Julian Williamson with Norfolk Fire and Rescue said crews are were dispatched to Norfolk Circuit Court in the 100 block of St. Pauls Boulevard just before 1 p.m. for a suspicious package on the second floor.
A HAZMAT unit went into the building to investigate the package. The Fire Marshal’s Office was also on scene.
Williamson said no evacuations were made and no injuries were reported. The incident was cleared around 2 p.m. after crews determined the package was "medical powder" and wasn't harmful.
Northbound St. Pauls Boulevard was closed in the area.
