NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man wanted for killing to people found on Cornwallis Lane last Friday turned himself in to police Monday.

According to Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department, Javou Jameil Smith, 31, allegedly shot and killed Ervin Peebles and Aalon Smith of Drewryville while they were sitting in a pickup truck.

Smith is facing charges of two counts of murder and two counts of use of firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police located the suspect vehicle, a 2011 Champagne colored Nissan Altima, Sunday morning in the 2800 block of Villa Circle. They say the car was partially burned and appeared to have been there since Saturday morning, according to a police spokeswoman.
