NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Five boats stolen from Norfolk Marine Company Friday have been recovered by Norfolk police.

The boats and their trailers were found overnight in the 2100 block of Springfield Avenue near the old Ford plant.

Friday morning, the Norfolk Marine Company called police to report four Sea Hunt boats and one Carolina Skiff had been stolen. The suspects used two pickup trucks and came back to the dealership three times to steal the boats.

The burglars also shot an American pit bull that was guarding the property twice. The dog, Breezeway, underwent surgery Friday and had two bullet fragments removed. She is expected to recover.

Police have not made any arrests in the case and are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
