NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Four people are in custody after police say they tried to rob two plain clothes police officers at a Norfolk McDonald's late Monday night.

Chris Amos, spokesman for the Norfolk Police Department, told WAVY.com the two officers were in unmarked vehicles in the parking lot of McDonald's located in the 1000 block of Campostella Road when two armed suspects approached them around 11 p.m.

According to Amos, the suspects tried to rob the officers at gunpoint. The officers were able to get to their own weapons and fired at the suspects, who fled, Amos added.

Three suspects were taken into custody about an hour later, Amos said. The fourth suspect was located at Sentara Leigh Hospital receiving treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound Tuesday morning.

Charges are pending for two counts each of attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony for all four suspects. They have been identified as the following:

  • Alfredo Rocco Calogero, 19, of Virginia Beach
  • Devonte Marquis Davis, 19, of Norfolk
  • Walter Martin, 19, of Virginia Beach
  • Jordan Ceprece Anderson, 19, of Virginia Beach

No officers involved in the shooting were injured.
