NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The same consulting firm that found former Superintendent Dr. Richard Bentley for Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is on the hunt again.

NPS spokeswoman Elizabeth Mather said the school system will not have to pay Ray & Associates a consulting fee because of a clause in their prior agreement. The clause states that the Iowa-based firm will "waive its consulting fee if a new search is required within two years".

Back in spring 2010, NPS paid Ray & Associates a $27,000 consulting fee and covered $14,275 in estimated expenses. This time around NPS will only pay for expenses.

Now, Ray & Associates is looking for some input from you. In an online survey , participants can select 10 out 33 qualities that would like to see in the new superintendent. The deadline for the survey is Feb. 8.

The school board will also hold two public hearings on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at Booker T. Washington High School and Granby High School .
