NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Potholes are unsightly, not to mention dangerous. Cold weather, snow and ice cause the road's asphalt to deteriorate and after last weekend's winter blast, we can almost be certain potholes are to follow. That's why the City of Norfolk is asking its residents to report potholes to the city's Street and Bridges Division as soon as they can.
The city hopes residents will report the potholes so that they can be fixed in a timely manner.
To report a pothole in the City of Norfolk call the 24-hour hotline at 823-4050, or e-mail the problem area to PWorks@norfolk.gov . You may also fill out a convenient online form at www.norfolk.gov/PublicWorks/pothole.asp .
When reporting the pothole, the city asks that you provide the nearest address and cross street and a description of the damage.
