Argument leads to fatal shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - One man was shot and killed during an argument Monday night, according to police.

Chris Amos with the Norfolk Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Harvard Street around 11 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found 28-year-old Lionel Vernon suffering from a gunshot wound.

Vernon was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Amos said another man was taken into custody at the scene. Further information was not immediately available. Stay with WAVY.com for more on this developing story.
