NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police say one person has died and two are seriously injured following a single-vehicle accident along West Little Creek Road Tuesday evening.
According to Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department, a call came in for a vehicle that struck a telephone pole at approximately 10 p.m. in the 200 block of West Little Creek Road.
Parker-Chesson says one person was transported with serious injuries and one was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Christopher Tonnet, 26, of Norfolk.
Witnesses say Tonnet lost control of the vehicle, spun off the road, struck a curb and struck a utility pole. A passenger remains in critical condition at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
