NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A gas leak has shut down part of Colonial Avenue in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk.
Virginia Natural Gas crews were called out to the intersection of Colonial and Westover Avenues Wednesday afternoon. Colonial Avenue is currently shut down in both directions near that intersection.
There was construction underway on Westover at the time of the possible rupture, but Chief Harry Worley with the Norfolk Fire Department says it does not appear construction workers hit the line.
