NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach man was arrested June 25 for sexually assaulting two women and attempting to rape a third. A fourth victim, this time in Norfolk, has now come forward.
After seeing WAVY.com's story about the arrest of 26-year-old Roy Loredo, a Norfolk woman called 10 On Your Side saying she was also one of Loredo's victims.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she had just gotten home from work in late April when a stranger barged through her the door.
"A total stranger comes in and destroys all that's safe," the victim told WAVY.com. "He came right over to me and grabbed me by the hair."
She said he then threw her down onto a table, picked up a knife sitting on the floor and put it to her neck.
"He told me to go to my room," she said. "He held the knife up my neck the whole time as we were walking to my room and he had his hand over my mouth."
The victim said she was forced to strip down and perform a sex act on him.
"I didn't think I was going to see tomorrow," she said. "He had a knife to my throat and he threatened my life."
The woman said the man raped her. When he left, he threatened her, saying that if she told anyone he'd come back, she added.
"I don't know how I became one of his victims," she said.
Monday, she was looking online and found a story about a man arrested for an attempted rape in Virginia Beach.
"As soon as I pulled it up I knew that was him," she told WAVY.com. "His face was identical. My heart sunk. My heart started beating really fast. I can't believe that's him."
Police say Loredo attacked three women in a span of two hours within close proximity of each other.
"His face just made me remember everything," she said.
Norfolk Police said they're comparing notes with Virginia Beach detectives to see if Loredo was responsible for the Norfolk woman's attack. They're also comparing DNA evidence.
"He told me I was the second one he did it to," the victim added. "It makes me feel better that they actually have him now and he's not on the streets anymore. I don't feel like everybody's a suspect."
Loredo has not been charged with her attack. According to court records, he makes his first appearance in front of judge Thursday.
