NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Norfolk man got a big Christmas present this year.

George Phillips won $100,000 by playing the Cash 5 Virginia Lottery game.

Phillips says he used his family birthdays to choose his winning numbers, which he played at the 7-Eleven store at 5827 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard in Norfolk. The winning numbers were 7-9-12-15-23.

He plans to use his winnings to pay bills and buy Christmas gifts for his children and grandkids, according to the Virginia Lottery.
