NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The owners of a former Mo Money Taxes office say they are coming back to start a new tax preparation company, not affiliated with Mo Money Taxes.
Keith Hill and Patrick Townsend, who previously ran a Mo Money office on Little Creek Road, say they have already contacted 50 of their previous customers in Norfolk to inform them about their plans.
They say they too, were victims of Mo Money's scheme.
Hill says neither of the owners were paid for their work last tax season.
The new business will operate under the name "Tax U.S.A." Hill and Townsend are looking at locations on Little Creek Road.
Hill says both he and Townsend testified about Mo Money Taxes troubles in Norfolk federal court at the request of the Internal Revenue Service and were not charged.
