NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A 2-year-old pit bull who went missing following a burglary last month in Norfolk has been reunited with her owners.

The thieves stole Christmas presents and other items from the home of Chris and Stacey Cole Dec. 13. Their family pet, Nyla, went missing that day as well.

Nyla was found at Norfolk Animal Control by a woman who recognized the dog and contacted the Coles.

Stacey Cole told WAVY.com in December Nyla is much more than a pet to her.

“We got her when she was very little,” Stacey said. “She was the runt and we wanted her instantly.”
