NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A man was found dead inside a car off Trice Terrace in Norfolk Sunday morning after being shot in Chesapeake.
Officers were called to the intersection of Trice Terrace and Seay Avenue around 4 a.m. Sunday for reports of a man who was not moving inside a car. Police arrived to find a man dead in a red car.
Police have determined the man was shot in an incident in Chesapeake, off Woodlake Drive around 2 a.m.
Chesapeake police were called to the 600 block of Woodlake Dr. for reports of shots fired in the area, but they could not find a victim.
Two hours later, Troy Sargeant, 27, was found dead inside a car on Trice Terrace, according to police. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
