Body found in car identified

Investigation reclassified as homicide

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The man found dead inside a vehicle in Norfolk Monday morning has been identified.

Police say they received a call about a suspicious situation in the 2200 block of Norcova Ave. at around 10:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of 29-year-old Rogerick Joell Elliot.

This case is currently being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators originally released that the victim was a woman.
