NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A local organization is trying to raise money for the Norfolk Afr'am Fest now that it's in financial trouble after being sued.
Virginia Kids Eat Free is seeking donations to a fund a set up at the Bank of Hampton Roads.
The group offered support to the Southeastern Virginia Arts Association , which organizes Afr'am Fest and wants to save it.
Festival organizers were sued for unpaid wages by law enforcement officers who served as security for this year's event.
