NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A special grand jury was created by Judge Charles E. Poston to determine if criminal charges will be filed in the case of no-show worker Jill McGlone, according to Lori Crouch with the City of Norfolk.

McGlone collected $230,000 in pay and benefits over 12 years without going to work at the Norfolk Community Services Board, city officials discovered in 2010.

Crouch says Poston used two state statues to give him power to request a special grand jury and that Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim said the Circuit Court judges are all in agreement.

Mayor Paul Fraim says the judge will appoint a special prosecutor for the case.
