NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk police arrested four Occupy Norfolk protesters Wednesday night.

The protesters were taken into custody after they tried to enter the World Trade Center on Main Street to visit Senator Mark Warner's local office.

The group later moved their protest down the street to the Confederate Monument.

"They were just doing a demonstration act, uh, that involved walking onto the property. The police said they weren't allowed to do that, and, uh, they said that it needed to be done and they walked on very bravely knowing they were going to be arrested," protester Brent Palmer said.

The nationwide occupy movement protests Wall Street greed and corporate corruption.
