NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Federal judge denied ODU's former president's request to avoid testifying at Phil Hamilton's corruption trial.
Docter Roseann Runte led the university when former delegate Hamilton allegedly worked to secure public money for a job training center, before trying to land a job there.
Hamilton resigned as delegate in November after the allegations came to light.
Doctor Runte left ODU in 2008 and is now president of Carleton University in Canada.
The trial is scheduled to begin May 2.
