NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Norfolk Department of Public Health is partnering with the Norfolk Airport Authority to offer visitors, travelers, flight attendants and pilots flu vaccinations Wednesday.
The shots will be offered starting at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. on the main terminal lobby.
"There's a term called 'community immunity' and the more people that get the flu shot the smaller the number of people that are available to host the flu virus so the less people to host the flu virus the less there is to go around," said Norfolk Acting Emergency Planner Lisa Botts. "It's important that everybody gets their flu shot."
