NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - It took nearly an hour for Norfolk fire crews to control a house fire along Ludlow Street early Thursday morning.
Battalion Chief Julian Williamson told WAVY.com a call came in around 12:40 a.m. for a report of a fire. When fire crews arrived on scene, they found a vacant house ablaze and were able to control the fire around 1:20 a.m.
Williamson said the house did not have any power.
The home sustained heavy fire damage and has been ruled suspicious in nature. An investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
As a result of the fire, the house will be town down.
