Bicyclist struck on Norfolk road

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A bicyclist involved in a crash in Norfolk Tuesday morning is now in stable condition at the hospital.

According to Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of East Virginia Beach Boulevard at Ingleside Road in reference to a crash involving a man on a bicycle, at 7:10 a.m.

A vehicle traveling westbound struck the bicyclist,  who was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His status was upgraded to stable in the afternoon.
