NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A late afternoon house fire displaced two adults and six children Saturday.
Firefighters responded to a home in the 1500 block of Vine Street about 4:30 p.m. They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house.
The home sustained significant damage, said Norfolk Fire Department spokesman Harry Worley. The Red Cross was called to help the residents with lodging and clothes.
The cause of he fire remains under investigation by the Norfolk Fire Marshal.
