NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A woman, whose laptop computer was stolen during a burglary to her home, was surprised five days after the crime when a picture was e-mailed to her from the stolen laptop of two people she does not know.
The computer was stolen from a 25-year-old Newport News woman's home along with some other items on January 16. The computer is set up to automatically e-mail pictures taken from the laptop's camera to the owner.
On January 21, an image of two unknown people that was taken by the laptop's camera was sent to the owner's e-mail address, according to a released statement from the Newport News police department.
Police are asking to speak with the two people from the picture to see if they have information that would help them recover the stolen property.
Police say if anyone recognizes the two individuals they should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
