NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police executed a high risk search warrant in the City's East End Sunday, looking for a man wanted for murder, but the suspect was not found.
The Newport News Police's Tactical Operations Unit searched a residence in the 1100 block of Garden Dr. after they received information that indicated murder suspect Tyrek Allen, 19, was inside, according to Holly McPherson with the NNPD.
Officers entered the home but Allen was not found.
Newport News Police are continuing their search for Allen, who is wanted for a homicide that occurred on July 22 and a triple shooting that happened on February 21 in Newport News. He is also wanted in connection to a shooting in Hampton.
Allen has warrants on file for murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and four counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in Newport News.
Police are asking anyone with information on Tyrek Allen's whereabouts to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
