Rabid raccoon found in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Officials say a raccoon with rabies was found in a Newport News neighborhood Friday.
According to the Peninsula Health Department, the raccoon was found on Roberto Drive near the Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
Anyone who lives nearby who may have had contact with the raccoon should call the health department at 757-594-7340.
