Former nightclub fire ruled arson

Former Mirage nightclub torched

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Investigators say someone torched a vacant building once known as the Mirage Night Club.

City fire crews responded to the report of a commercial structure fire in the 15000 Block of Warwick Blvd. The call came in Tuesday morning at 2:46 a.m.

The crews quickly contained the fire and the fire was declared under control at 3:12 a.m. Damage is estimated to be $10,000.

There were no injuries.

Investigators have not made any arrests.
