Man stabbed after fight with roommate

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News police say a man was stabbed after he and his roommate had a fight.
Officers were called to the 900 block of 79th Street around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police spokesman Harold Eley, the roommates were fighting because one of them was asked to leave the complex.
The victim, a 59-year-old man, suffered a stab wound to the abdomen. Eley said the victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
Police are currently questioning the man's roommate.
