NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A man responsible for carjacking a Sears delivery driver in Hampton last year has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison.

Antonio D. McGhee of Maryland was sentenced Thursday to 244 months in prison on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, carjacking and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. He was convicted in June 2012.

According to Peter Carr with the U.S. Attorney's Office, McGhee and his co-conspirator, Gabriel D. Mitchell of Norfolk, carjacked a delivery driver while he was delivering appliances in Hampton on Jan. 10, 2012. They were given the driver's delivery schedule by Travis Williams, a Sears sub-contractor.

Williams posed as a victim, while Mitchell and McGhee handcuffed, duct-taped and blindfolded the delivery driver.

The men got away with several appliances that were later recovered.

Mitchell is awaiting sentencing.
