NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A gas leak closed down a busy street close to Newport News Shipbuilding Wednesday afternoon.
A construction crew reportedly struck a gas line at 44th Street and Washington Avenue. Washington Avenue from 45th Street to 48th Street were closed down for repairs, affecting rush hour traffic.
