NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - An 18-year-old turned himself in after police say he robbed an apartment with three accomplices on April 26.

Police say Nico Demetrie Lackland, 18, of the 14500 block of Old Courthouse Way in Newport News, forced himself into an apartment in the 100 block of River Trace Way along with three other teens.

Holly McPherson with Newport News Police says the suspects stole cell phones, a laptop and money from three residents. The victims were two 20-year-old men and a 68-year-old woman.

Lackland turned himself in April 29 and was charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of robbery, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and nine counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested in reference to the incident. Two other suspect have not been identified and police believe they are teenagers.
