JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A bull on the loose in James City County was recovered by the owner's neighbor after it wandered on his property.
The James City County Police Department started receiving calls about sightings on March 3. Drivers reported almost hitting the animal along Forge Road.
Officers tracked down the owner who explained that two of his bulls somehow broke free from a farm on Forge Road.
On March 4, one of the bulls was captured and euthanized. The other bull remained on the run and weighed between 900 and 1,200 pounds.
The neighbor who found the bull herded it with his cows for the owner to later recover.
