VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - It was day full of fun, but at the same time a chance to remember a young life taken last week in an alleged drunk driving accident.
Friends gathered Saturday at Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach for a fundraiser in honor of 16-year-old Joey Fonseca.
The Kempsville High School sophomore and baseball player was killed in a crash. Police say he was riding in a car with another 16-year-old who was driving drunk.
The family hopes out of the tragedy an important lesson will be learned.
