Man indicted for child porn, marijuana

Police counted 72 marijuana plants during arrest

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach man was indicted on Tuesday for distribution of child pornography and marijuana.

Police arrested 43-year-old Ian Andrew Boyer of Kenneth Road in Virginia Beach, on June 23 for five counts of Distribution of Child Pornography and one count of Marijuana Manufacture Not for Personal Use.

Investigators said Boyer was accessing and distributing child pornography on his computer. During the arrest, detectives counted 72 marijuana plants growing in his home which led to the distribution of marijuana charge. The plants were estimated at $72,000.

Boyer is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility without bond.
