NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach man, who police say had been drinking and was not wearing a seatbelt, died Sunday night in an accident on I-64.

Michael Anthony Bell, 20, of Yaqui Street, veered off the road at the Military Highway exit off I-64 east, hit a light pole and overturned several times, police said.

The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m., police said. Bell, who was driving a 2002 Ford Focus was pronounced dead at the scene.
