GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) - A 26-year-old was killed when he reportedly walked into the path of an oncoming vehicle in Gloucester County late Friday night.
Just before midnight, Virginia State Police were called to a pedestrian involved motor vehicle accident in Gloucester County, according to Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the VSP.
When troopers arrived on scene they found a pedestrian who had been hit by a truck. The investigation revealed the pedestrian, 26-year-old Michael Anthony Franklin, was waiting for ride outside of his residence when he walked out in front of a 1998 Dodge Dakota that was traveling eastbound on Glenns Road.
Franklin suffered life threatening injuries and died at the scene.
